Background
In the notebook computer market, product life cycle has shrunk to as little
as two or three months. It was therefore vital that Toshiba, the industry
leader, be able to communicate its new products to dealers in a timely,
almost immediate, manner. Its dealer support function, known as the Toshiba
Customer Server, therefore used fax blitzes to keep their dealers in the
