Beniger Garden Centre wanted a simple way to communicate their products and services to customers and prospects. The resulting piece functioned both as a pamphlet to hand out as well as a self-mailer. (Note: kindly forgive the design, particularly the typography. While I am proud to take credit for the concept and words, I am a bit embarrassed to have to take credit, er, blame, for the design. Many years ago...)

You name it, we’ve probably got it.

From the abbreviated list of products shown on the reverse side, we hope you’ll get the idea that you’re almost guaranteed to find what you’re looking for at Beniger Garden Centre. Our selection ranges from the commonplace to the exotic. After all, plants aren’t one of our “departments,” they’re our only business.

If you’ve never even heard of it, we’ve probably got it.

If you’re not sure what you want, browsing through our Garden Centre can be a thrilling experience. From unique, hard-to-find varieties of otherwise common plant species you’ve never seen before, you’ll discover something delightfully different every time you visit.

All plants are NOT created equal.

It’s hard to tell the difference between a high-quality plant and a “generic” one—until it’s in the ground. Our plants are grown from premium hybrid seeds, including many “All-American Selections,” independently tested and certified for superior disease resistance, hardiness, and proficiency of blooming. While nothing can absolutely guarantee success in growing, using only high-quality products from Beniger’s is the next-best thing.

“What’s wrong with my plant?”

We’re asked this question far more than any other. Customers come in with their plants’ “symptoms;” we “diagnose” the “illness,” “prescribe” the proper “treatment,” and “dispense” the appropriate “cure,” with extreme emphasis on the proper “dosage.” Our aim isn’t simply to sell you our product, but to provide you with both the products and product knowledge you need to make your garden a growing success.
